My Mom had an ERMI of 10.8, and while I've read Carl's comments about ERMI, as a

confirmed mold sensitive patient with long-standing CFS, we now want to make her

condo safe.

This is the response she got back from the company she plans to use: Why does

it make me nervous?

" Good afternoon. It should take about an hour to complete the inspection and

consultation. The filter that you have is fine. As far as the upholstery goes,

they can be H.E.P.A vacuumed along with the carpets and other places in the

home. We also do the remediation and will submit lab samples to assure that the

job was done successfully. Please remember that every home has some mold spores

floating in the air and in debris around the home. Our goal is to get a result

back from the lab that states, " not elevated " . Which means it is safer inside

your home than outside. Thanks.

I realize now I feel the guy won't get to the source of the problem, which could

involve water damage in other parts of the high-rise from past sprinkler system

floods..... But how does she decide which company to use?
