Guest guest
thank you both so much, just found this, it went to spam, will have to check often. to anita, you mentioned if only spore, which i think is what i have, you said wipe down with water, what if spore on porious area, like do you mean fabric? what do i do if they can't be washed, if only spores can put them outside for a few days be ok or in the dryer? don't want to drive you crazy but do you vacuum first then wipe down or vice versa? to get all spores out. do we open all windows while it is being cleaned to air out? on moving to co we only brought the item, furniture from storage climate control, it had never been in moldy house and didn't smell moldy just dusty, but now inside the house still no smell but like i said dog hit on 2 boxes and we had already emptied several so don't know if he would have hit on any more, and again didn't see visible mold so don't know if he hit on growing mold or the spores. when i left the house in la we tossed all books, fans, leather trucks, clothes, supplements, sofa, fabric drapes, rugs, beds and keep the hard surface furniture. it was put in a separate truck and driven to co. it is now at my ex husbands. it has not been wiped down. i just assumed i could never have it around me again. wonder if vacuum and wiped i can have it in my new house. this dresser that was in my moldy house, in the room where the leaks were, when i open the drawers i get sick immed, headache extreme nausea bad, so i would never chance that. we have a big kitchen butcher box from the moldy house in my garage here and the dog did not hit on it at all, so maybe some of the stuff can come in after wipe down, but i am scared to contaminate. how do you ever really know? the mold guy didn't do air sampling said it could change by tomorrow so not a good indicator, maybe he should have b/c you had a certain kind in the mobile home and i would like to know. he id the inferred light in the hit areas, humidity reading in crawl space was 30. he said the house was very clean. but you know i still worry about everything. should he have done sampling? maybe carl can give his opinion about the sampling. he had the dog and inferred and hum in crawl that was about it. thank you so much for your time. very helpful. will have a cleaning lady and daughter on monday and tues clean as you said, and ordered air purifiers so hope good to go. the only place there is very low pile carpet is in family roon all else hard wood. do need to have carpet cleaned, but too sensitive to chem, so how do we do it. my idea way rent cleaner, just use water and vinegar, let dry comp and quickly, with fans? or does that stir to much in air, just let dry on it own? or do you have a better idea would love to hear. thanks to both of you denise ----- Forwarded Message ---- From: Carl E.
