Sue,

Be sure to pull back the rubber gasket and clean it inside. This was a

terrible source of mold for me as it stays wet. Every time I use the washer

now, I dry the inside of the gasket and I no longer have any problems.

Whatever this mold was, it did make us sick. I would run borax in the machine

if that is the problem.

Hi All,

i have a high efficiency stacked front loading washer, it started

smelling musty, i looked in the manual and it says to run a " cleaning "

cycle monthly w/Affresh (probably some chemically product) or chlorine

bleach. I don't want to use either, e-mailed them asking for non-

chemical/non-chemical/non-<WBR>toxic options, but in the meantime does

anyone k

thanks, sue v.

Also wanted to say that when I had my front loader, I would wash every load with

vinegar, an excellent antimicrobial, and then would leave the door open. It

helped that o had an exhaust fan in the room because whatever remaining water

would dry up.
