Guest guest
Rogene, I am so freaking jealous!!!!!! I wish I could have regular massages. Alas, for me, they are a luxury! One that I can't afford right now! I had one in the Dominican Republic--a whole hour for $10. I was in heaven, it was divine. My dream is to be able to have regular massages like you, but time is a big issue and money too. You are a lucky lady to be able to do this. In no time, she can have them worked out, and blood flowing to the area. Bad areas go from being flattened to being soft and fluffy as they turn pink. > > With FM, the tissue covering the muscle becomes very taut. This causes the muscle to pull on the joints, resulting in pain. . . Deep tissue massage stretches this tissue, removing the tension and allowing blood to flow properly. The massage definitely isn't relaxing! . . . I'd suggest taking a pain pill before your first few massages. > > I know massage is usually considered a luxury . . . I don't! . . . It's part of my regular health routine. > > Hugs, > > Rogene >
Guest guest
Patty, I really am lucky.. . There's not a day that goes by that I don't remind myself how fortunate I am to have my health, live in a beautiful place and to be able to afford things like massages. God has blessed me many times over. Rogene
Guest guest
Dear Jackie, Have you tried massage? One draw back is it is very expensive and most insurance won't cover it. And would have to be done often. I have strong teeth too. I'm part Micmac. My brothers have wonderful teeth too. Deb
Guest guest
I was doing OT and they were using the electrical leads on me and showing me exercises, which is great until real life kicks in and you have to do things! Yes, i have done a massage recently and for those that would like to try it, i went to the massage school in my area and it is $25.00 for a 1 hour massage!. Thanks for reminding me to do it again! Again last night i used my teeth to open a nail polish bottle and i have to STOP doing this. I will end up losing all of my teeth as they are not meant to replace hands (LOL) Jackie Re: massage  Dear Jackie, Have you tried massage? Guest guest
I was just wondering what results people have had with massage? I have been studying it for a couple of months now and am so amazed at the way it effects the entire body, not the least of which is by detoxifying it. I have issues with toxins. I am wondering if anyone has employed either professional massages or self-massages as a part of their healing process.
Guest guest
I tried acupuncture but tit didn't do anything In a message dated 12/19/2010 12:04:53 P.M. I have been getting Jin Shin for the last 4 years or so and it has made a tremendous difference in the speed of recovery. It detoxifies by getting all the bad stuff moving out of your body. Also baths (salt or peroxide (which I use) helps alot. Surella -
Guest guest
You have to be careful with massage if you do not detox well. I had a few massages before I knew what I was ill from, and honestly they made me feel much worse. The best massage that you can do is lymphatic as it helps the toxins to leave the body. But, even with that, you have to take it slow and easy as you will feel ill from it if you stir up more toxins than your body can rid itself of. Guest guest
There is nothing I like more than having a good massage. I do tell them beforehand, they should have you fill out a medical form anyway beforehand. If they were too hard I would just ask them to lighten up, just remind them of your condition. in PA On Tue, Feb 8, 2011 at 4:08 PM, Nett225 <nettbrand@...> wrote: > > > I just found out I have a massage school near me that's based out of my > local hospital.
