To get facts straight:

(1) Removing growing mold means to take out the molded item (mold growing) or

to wash mold off if possible (which there seems to be debate about for plastic

but seemingly OK for glass since it is growing on some substance on the glass

and glass is not porous (there is debate as to how porous plastic is?).

If it cant be washed off and keeps coming back then do you trash it or kill the

mold or keep it under control (which might only apply to a bathroom or fridge..

not furniture or components of the home structure), then how do you wash it

without killing it if killing it is bad (esp in bathroom and on grout or in

fridge, etc)? Makes sense to make sure bathroom is properly ventaliated..

(2) Killing mold spores (even those floating around) is not a good idea? Why?

(2) Live spores can cause infection, so dead spores can do what?

They have mycotoxins that can make you ill and or there is " just " a reactivity

issue to the spore and or the toxin?

(3) More fragments (from dead mold) means more opportunity to breath in the dead

spores and mycotoxins or they are just more scattered to more " available " to

react to as a foreign substance to the body... are they still spores or what is

the body reacting to and how?

I have a product called Benefect. Its hospital grade antibacterial, antifungal

made out of thyme oil. I use to to clean my bathrooms and kitchen.. love it..

the smell, I can tolerate.. but it is an antifungal.. confused..use or not to

use.. my mother sent me a link to microban which I think her remediation crew

used in her house.. the spore count did go from 18,000 A/P per cu meter to under

200.. ??

http://www.universalbotanicals.com/home/benefect-disinfectant/

(this is expensive..Ive been purchasing this half price with a local

cooperative)

(4) Do spores that come in from outdoor air fall to floor and the first flat

surface they hit or do they stick to walls and ceilings?

(5) Do traveling spores root into semi porous surfaces or is that only growing

spores and the resulting mold?

Thank you!

Robin
