Guest guest
At my workplace I am getting sick daily. By the end of each week I am sicker and most weekends I spend trying to feel better. Last week I got my typical sore throat and it turned in to a sinus infection. I went to work Monday and by the end of the day my throat was throbbing. I went directly to the Med clinic and they found I had a severe throat infection along with a sinus infection and put me once again on antibiotics. I have had at least a dozen sinus infections this year. In addition, I have had two kidney infections and multiple UTI's. The last three were e-coli due to having only one bathroom (one comode) for more than 20 people. A few months back I filed an OSHA complaint. The place I work had done a cursury air quality test but didn't want to interview the employees to see what health problems they were having. The report said they didn't see anything in the outside vents and air quality was in normal range. When my complaint came in OSHA took the report given by my employer on face value and didn't do any further investigation. Now I am trying to keep working for financial reasons but have used my sick leave up and am working on annual leave. Is there somewhere else to go for help?
