Guest guest
Hi all, i have extremely low cortisol levels and have been prescribed Adrenal Cortex Extract. Supposedly there are only small amounts of cortisol in ACE, much leaa than isocort or HC (hydrocortisone) however im aware that cortisol is contraindicated in those with mold illness? Is this the case even when cortisol levels are extremely low or is it more a danger if cortisol is high? Years ago cortisol was high at certain times in the day.. Now its extremely low at all times of day and hormone doc says lowest levels shes ever seen. I have reasons i cannot take licorice and hoping ACE and raising cortisol would help control some of the inflammation caused by this mold illness. Thank you
