Guest guest
Thanks for the well wishes. I'm sending them to you as well. As for the " crazy but wonderful meds " , I take Tylenol & Cod. for pain which is neither wonderful or effective. Am probably going to give a " long acting " pain med. another try next month when I see my pain mgmt. doc. I've been taking pain meds for the better part of 10 years and have yet to find anything that's been really effective. These have been the best cuz when they work they work for 4 hrs. I'm also taking Topamax which, unfortunately, has done nothing whatsoever for pain but has been terrific for spasms so I rarely now take the Flexeril. I highly recommend it if you suffer from spasms. Ok, that's about it for now. Take good care sweetie. Robin

Guest guest
Deb..... this is Billie..... I got your last post to Robin, saying you sent me a response in an earlier post. Is it possible for you to send me that post again. I think one of my kids must have deleted it and I didn't get a chance to read it. I have been seeing the homeopath/accupuncturist and have one more session with him tomorrow before heading up to Maine. He'a been helping me alleviate built up stress, with accupuncture and body work. I'm going to do some testing to see if I am deficient in any vitamins and minerals, including hair analysis, and communicate long distance with him. I've been doing alot of reading as well. ithyroid and daisyelaine's website which is also terrific. I'm so happy that they have taken the time to help us all! Guest guest
" The first two days were great but then he started with the intense anger and some aggression as well as lack of focus with conversation and homework " Robin, My initial thoughts on this are that either 3 AFP is way too much and causing this reaction (my son gets this way with too much peptizyde/or AFP), or of course the dreaded reaction to gluten and casein. Or also since he was at a birthday party, he got too much sweets and artificial coloring and has some yeast going on. I think one way of figuring out if it is reaction to the 3 AFP's is to give him 3 AFP's with a gfcf meal, and see if you get the same hyperness and aggression. This may not be the only way, but just something I was thinking about. Also consider upping or adding a good probiotic. Let us know what you figure out. Guest guest
Hi, Robin, Did you know that you can go to the drugstore and pick up hearing aid batteries to hold you over until you get your implant plus batteries from cochlear? I did this just last week for the first time, and am awed how well these Ray-O-Vac batteries are working. The distinction with the cochlear batteries is better for me -but the drugstore things are perfect in a pinch. ) Jackie

Guest guest
Hi Deb,Actually it hasn't gotten any easier, and I deal with it on a day to day basis. I know I am way ahead of the game most of the time, but it's almost like my body says "I dare you to give me liquids again...ha..ha...I will torture you with hunger pangs if you try". So I just go easy on whatever is around. I love spicy food, but haven't been back to my normal on that yet because I'm not sure how my lapband will like it. Mostly I would say I am eating mushy foods. Not the watered down kind, but the kind that 'sticks' with you. And I have had home-made sandwiches as well, but usually the bread gets to me after a few bites. I load it with everything though, like cooked ham, swiss cheese, red onion, lettuce, pickles, tomato, mustard, and a little miracle whip. It kinda makes it into a salad sandwich...lol. And I did have a little taco salad the other day as well. That was about the spiciest thing I have had yet. It had medium salsa on it instead of mild. That's all I had in the fridge. I take that back, I have had spicier. Stupid Burger King screwed up and gave me buffalo sauce instead of honey mustard with my chicken fries I had for lunch (I didn't have time to pack today, so went for protein, instead of a milkshake). Anyways I had the small size, and didn't drink with it because it wasn't very big to have to worry about overstretching the pouch, and I needed it to last me for 5 hours at work, and it did. God was i ever thirsty when I got to leave! I drank about 1 liter of SF Kool-Aid..lol . On another note, I think salads kinda turn slimy when you chew it so much, and you can't even feel it go through the band at all! I was surprised. I really liked salads before, and didn't want to have to give them up. Oh well, I don't wanna keep going on like I am a total rebel here, mostly I have done mushies, but I'll also tell the truth about the others. I think it's a necessary component to the healing of the mind as well as the body. I wish I could do better, but I will do the best with what I can. Hope you get to eating again soon! I can't wait to get a fill. I feel like I am on standby for lift-off or something??? Robin343/332/1709/26/05>> Robin, how have you been doing?
