Guest guest
It was debated to death here about a year ago with the son of the owner. Despite protests that they had scientific verification of their mold claims what they posted and what they sent to me and Dr Thrasher was their own study which did not substantiate anything more than it kills some mold sometimes. As you know killing mold does almost nothing. Their only study showed it did not grow. But the most puzzling response was their claim of the " disappearance " of airborne mold. Until, that is, you consider they evaporate (diffuse) the oil for 72 hours or longer. It evaporates into the air like humidity making the suspended spores heavier and they settle to surfaces. But they didn't check there. I challenged them to sample surfaces and that's about when they stopped their involvement, as I remember it. Guest guest
Carl, Thanks for the answer. I have heard of so many things like citri-safe and others that never seem to do anything but empty your wallet. From what I can tell, your saying that they claimed it worked somewhat like, or better than say an Ionizer? I know an ionizer has nothing to do with mold but it sounds like they are thinking it works that way and zaps the spores bye bye. Ide have a hard time believeing that one anyway. Once again, Thanks Chris...         Freedom is the emancipation from the arbitrary rule of other men :Mortimer Adler ________________________________ From: Carl E. That's how we all learn and prevent being unduly influenced one way or another. I said nothing about whether Thieves Oil may or may not be helpful for some people, or that a physcian may or may not prescribe it. What I said was that the claims the company was making didn't fit with facts about mold such as needing to stop the moisture, and killing mold doesn't help. They insisted those were important and they had the science to prove it. They didn't have the science. And they didn't understand much of the science or else they would not have insisted that Thieves Oil makes mold " disappear. " It " disappeared " because they didn't know enough science to know where to look. Again, it may work. But they and others shouldn't make claims that it works wonders (magic bullet) and cite reasons which aren't true and can't be true. So, has it helped you? And if so, how? Carl Grimes Healthy Habitats LLC ----- Hi Shha, Carl's not accusing them of anything, He's merely sharing the lengthy discussions that took place on the list. Having been present for that, I can say that Carl was among those who went way out of his way to give them a chance to share their info about Thieves and he was very gracious in his questions and concerns as specifically relating to the science of just how the product worked. I think after a while the posts from the young man stopped. But its in the archives no doubt to peruse. Sam Actually Carl the doctor that diagnoses me with biotoxin disease recommended I buy from this company. Are you sure you are right about them? My doctor was one of the good ones. Guest guest
Years ago, I have purchased Thieves Oil's generic counterpart " Ancient Robber's " oil, which contains the essential oils of clove, lemmon, cinnamon, eucalyptus radiata, & rosemary. Thieves oil contains: Clove (Syzygium aromaticum), lemon (Citrus limon), cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum), Eucalyptus radiata, and rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis). Same recipe, but cheaper. Boy did I have my hopes up with all the scientific research and testimonials I read online, however, after diffusing it in my tiny apartment and taking the stuff internally, I noticed no alleviation of head-aches or other mold-related symptoms. The only thing that helped me in that apartment was sleeping 50' away from it, in the parking-lot in the back of my pickup truck. Even when it was below freezing, I prefered to be in my pickup than in that leaky-roofed apartment. I was very dissapointed in the blend of oils. I had so much faith in it. I expected a miracle and payed a considerable price for it, but it did nothing for me that I could tell, however, clove oil is the most potent known substance in concentration for its antioxidant powers. It's at least 100s of times more powerful than even blueberries. I believe it is a powerful healing product. It just did not do anything for that situation. Perhaps I did not dose enough. I'll try taking some more now and see if it helps with my sore-throat/laryngitis/fever from the mold in my current house.
Guest guest
OK, lets assume it kills mold, not being alive, lets get technical and say it makes spores non viable. Like all other things that do this-it irritates the hell out of them first and makes them give up toxin. That is why removal is the only option, removal quietly, with something like simple green, that will not kill mold. I am very sensitive to the by products of spores and mold colonies, when you hit them with bleach, disinfectent or other toxic cleaners, it reacts, big time, and you better not be in the way. > > > Actually Carl the doctor that diagnoses me with biotoxin disease recommended I buy from this company.
