Guest guest
So, I spent a great deal of time looking for a spigot jar that is about 2 or 3 gallons. I was not successful. I went to Target, Walmart, ACE Hardware, Costco, Goodwill, Salvation Army, TJ Max, The ARC thrift store, and online. [i actually set a personal best of visiting 6 stores in 57 minutes.] Either it was plastic, or too small, but the kicker was usually that the spigot was metal on the inside. Often times it was extremely fancy and I would be paying for fancy rather than volume. Sometimes I could see metal at the far end of the spigot. There were several really nice ones, but if I looked carefully down the inside hole of the spigot, I could see metal. And I could not examine the one's online. So, I figured that you-all would know what brand and where to get appropriate spigot jars for continuous brewing. (:->) Hopeful,
Guest guest
, I got 1 of mine off someone on Craigslist, the other was at a Goodwill store. I had to change both spigots, because the first was metal, the second was a really cheap spigot and it leaked, which i think is why they donated it to a goodwill. the spigots unscrew and you can replace them. the first one i replaced with a spigot i got off a sun tea jar i bought at Walmart, the holes were the same, the second was a tiny hole, and i couldnt find a spigot to fit at all, so I took it to my local Stained glass artisan and he drilled the hole bigger, and i used a spigot from another sun tea jar. There is a place online, several actually, but the only one I can think of right now is http://www.infusionjars.com/ good luck Nona
Guest guest
I suggest a simple 2.5 gallon ceramic crock with plastic spigot. Your local co-op may have it, or you can get one here: http://www.happyherbalist.com/212gallonporcleinwithspigotbluestripleadfree.aspx They usually run $30-$40. Guest guest
Nona, My appreciation is coming at you>>>>>>>>>>>>> I have visited dozens of places, including many garage sales and online site, looking for the right jar. I think that the jar at ACE hardware was cheap, and I could easily get an spigot for it. Thank you. To: original_kombucha From: maxwell_04250@...
