Do I have to confirm my email?

Hi I just joined this group and wanted to make sure I did it right. Wasn't sure

if I needed to verifying email or not.

Welcome to you and all new members.

There is no need to confirm your email.  Yahoo did that when you

joined Yahoo.  New members are moderated until they have shown they

are not an electronic device, nor intent on filling the group with

Spam.  A post introducing yourself is usually sufficient to get you

un-moderated.  I have noticed a few people give an introduction

and/or ask questions when they apply to join this group.  That email

is seen (and only briefly) by myself, and is only an opportunity to

approve your application to join.  We are going through a reasonably

quiet time now, so if any new members want to introduce themselves,

or ask questions, now would be a good time. 

And on that note, if anyone finds the volume of posts too

overwhelming, there is the daily digest option that you can choose

from either the group homepage or your "My Groups' section at

Yahoo.  If you have no idea how to get to the group homepage, at the

bottom of each post is the option "Visit Your Group".  Clicking on

that will take you there.
