other women? similar experiences?

Hello, I just joined this group. It seems to be mostly men - are there

any other women out there willing to talk about this issue? My husband

and I have both been on and off of various SSRIs (almost all of them,

over the years!) and we've found that our experiences are quite

different, even with the same med. He is bipolar, I deal with

depression. I've been on and off Celexa for several years, and the

first time I went off it my sexual sensitivity came right back.

Unfortunately I also became depressed as hell without any kind of

medication. I started taking Omega-3 supplements, which seem to help

the depression to a point. I recently tried taking Prozac for about 10

days but couldn't handle the side effects. I've been off it for a

month now but the sexual problems are just getting worse. I'm about

ready to give up on sex altogether, and I'm normally a very sexual

person. I had no idea the sexual numbness could persist after getting

off the medication, and I'm really angry about it. Doctors never tell

you this stuff.
