Good for you for getting interested in Sprouting. I've been doing this for years now. I live in an apartment so space was crucial. I am going to show you a video that I made a long time ago. I use a sprouter called THE SPROUTGARDEN. It's a stackable tray system. I have 3 sets and they all stack on top of each other. In this video, on the left is what the sprout trays look like. I also show how you soak the seeds (12 hours or so, or overnight), and I even show you my lentil sprouts. So start with this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xb2OfAP3MGM Then, if you are interested in seeing what I am NOW doing in sprouting, I have a very easy shelf system in my living room that has my sprouting trays on the left, and and my microgreens (Sunflower, Pea Shoots, etc.) on the shelfs on the right. Start slow, don't get overwhelmed, we are here to answer ALL your questions, and believe me I learn something new every day. I used to do only sprouting (and by that I mean no medium was used, no soil, no coconut fiber (yeah, you can grow stuff in coconut fiber if you don't want to handle soil), but then I learned about microgreening and now I'm a microgreening fool. So keep sprouting and have fun Melody > > Hi all! I am really super super new at " sprouting " . So need help and advice on which " sprouting system " is best/safe. > My goal is to sprout my organic seeds/berries and make my own breads. So I also need some advice on if I should sprout the seeds/berries together or separate if the recipe calls for a variety of seeds/berries (like Ezekiel bread). > Tks so much for your input.
