Guest guest
Carson, My wife is diabetic. One effect of her diabetes is that damaged spots in her retina cause the abnormal growth of capillaries that are more brittle and fragile than healthy capillaries. They tend to rupture and leak blood, which, to some extent, blocks her vision. Usually, the body reabsorbs the blood, and the situation clears itself. On one occasion, that did not happen and surgery was required. The doctors tell her not to bend and, definitely, not to lift anything even remotely heavy. Perhaps the strain would increase the likelihood that those fragile capillaries would rupture. She can do cardio. Just no bending or lifting. Hope that helps.
