Guest guest
My husband has been using a tea tree oil shampoo on his hair for flaky scalp or something. i have tried it as it has a very nice medicinal smell and makes one feel sort of healthy. My stylist told me not to and to use my shampoo with body as I have fine hair. All this talk about lice tonight and whenI showered I put coconut shampoo out of the cupboard. it smells nice too. I am thinking of washing my whole body with it if it keeps any kind of bug away. Gnats and mosquitoes like me.  i've head it is from diabetic and sugar, and from lack of microbes and blood being near the skin(irish background somewhere). They don't bother my husband at all but they eat me up. I bought a citronella plant and am going to put on my bac patio and hope they will keep them away. I also got 2 solar bug lights and will get more if they work. We had about 6 years down hee when we had no bugs or mosquitoes and now we have these tiny noseeums. I don'tlike any kind of bug or ant. i like fruit but not the fruit flies or med flies.  I'm not going to answer any more on head lice as it makes me feel crawly and I got a nice shower and got rid of that. i don't want to get the feeling back.   Know what I mean about certain thoughts making one itch? Time for bed anyway if I hope to get up in the morning and go to church. If I get in there before Dave falls asleep, I'll have his shoulder to fall asleep on. I do like that. Makes me relax just with him close. Bye and good night.  Carolyn Wilkerson  To: sproutpeople Sent: Friday, June 8, 2012 7:45 AM Subject: Re: Head Lice  I got an email newsletter from Garrett, the Dirt Doctor. He's an organic gardening guru in the Dallas area and has an organic gardening radio program there. This week's newsletter was about head lice. Here's what he says to do about head lice: *Typical Solutions* Unfortunately the common recommendations are toxic chemicals. Unbelievably ne and Dursban were specified often in the past.Products still on the shelves contain pyrethrum and synthetic pyrethroids. That's horrible advice. These products cause or increase allergy problems, especially for children with asthma. *Natural Tips** *Here are some tips recommended by others./Douse the hair in olive oil or mayonnaise, which dissolves the exoskeletons of the lice and their nits. Wrap the hair in a plastic bag and let set for 4-6 hours. Apply a 50-50 solution of mineral oil and vinegar or wash the hair with dish soap instead of regular shampoo because it will more easily remove the oil and vinegar. Shaving the head is also something recommended./*All of these are silly*. *'s recommendation* -- To eliminate head lice and head lice nits, shower and clean with herbal soaps such as tea tree oil shampoo or Dr. Ohhira's soap and then rinse the hair with full strength vinegar while the problem exists. Natural apple cider vinegar is the best choice. This process is all that needs to be done and it works. Organic products are best. H.
