Guest guest
Hi, I bought the mother's mix. The seeds were perfect, no problem with the seeds. They sprouted just perfectly. But would I purchase this particular mix again? Don't think so. I like it with a bit more bite. The mother's mix has no bite. So I'm going back to making my own mixes. Fenugreek, Broccoli, clover, radish. Now THAT will have a kick to it. I don't care if it has alfalfa in it or not. But I like the combination of the fenugreek (with it's long long leaves, or in the early stages when it's crunchy), and I add BOTH stages to my sprout salad. So here's what I do. I grow the fenugreek in various stages. At the same time I grow the mix of the other sprouts. I happen to have clover, fenugreek, radish and broccoli in the freezer. I have the mixture sprouting in the round green trays and I have the various fenugreek growing at various stages in the OTHER round green tray. I walk over to the shelves, I grab whatever sprouts I want to make my salad, I then walk over to the fenugreek tray (which has been sprouting for 7 days) so it has nice long green sprouts), I put them on top of the salad. I then walk over to the other fenugreek tray (which is in the early sprouting stages so right now it's crunchy). I add some to the salad. Then I go into the kitchen and add my tomatoes, etc. and tempeh, and VOILA!!! Lunch Now when the sprouts are done sprouting, they are bagged and put in the fridge. So when I'm not walking over to my shelves, I go into the fridge and grab the bags with the sprouts already in them and do the same thing. The fenugreek is the tricky one because I like it in all various stages of sprouting. I discovered this a long time ago I never knew that if you left it for 7 days they GREW these lovely green leaves on the ends. So I get more bang for my buck. Melody P.S. I have tried the other mixes, Russian, etc. But I always come back to my own mix. lol > > good morning all.....the sun is just barely coming up over the mountains and it is just too pretty for words !.....melody.....how do you like the " mother's mix " from sproutpeople ?.....you were going to tell us how you like it.....i've got to order more.....peace, mary >
Guest guest
Let me jump in here. My wife loves the Mother's Mix. It's very mild. It's a constant push, push, push to get my wife to eat sprouts, but she goes for Mother's Mix and French Garden and so I keep them on hand for her. ew mother's mix good morning all.....the sun is just barely coming up over the mountains and it is just too pretty for words !.....melody.....how do you like the " mother's mix " from sproutpeople ?.....you were going to tell us how you like it.....i've got to order more.....peace, mary
