Guest guest
I haven't opened my can and I figure the can would be vacuum packed and so no oxygen should be in there. If they hatched, wouldn't they die? Or maybe they will just do dormant. Maybe I'll do what says, and plant them outside, but I can't plant that whole can. There are bunches. We don't get too many birds here, which sounds crazy but we get doves and some ibises. I just don't know if it is worth freezing them. But could freeze them and then after 60 days open it up. I sure don't want weevils or bugs all over. Amost everything bites me and I don't want anything in the house that bites. Carolyn Wilkerson  To: sproutpeople Sent: Saturday, June 2, 2012 9:55 AM Subject: Re: Where else to order  Carolyn: And this is just my humble opinion. If you have a can of those sunnies and they have NOT been in the freezer (and you got them from the same place I got mine), and you live in a warm climate!!!!, I'd toss them. Why do this? Because if they hatched (mine were crawling all over the place and I don't know if this is larvae but who knows), well they have had time to not only be larvae but to have MULTIPLIED all over your seeds. Think about this. Start from scratch. Get a new can and put immediately in the freezer. Just my opinion. Anyone else? Iordered one of those cans too and now am afraid to open them. When I get the freezer down a little I'll put the can in there for 60 days to kill any larvae. Hopefully won't do anything until opened as no air should be getting to them. >  > So stick to someone who is well known. Sometimes Sprout House advertiss on Amazon as well so check both places for best deals. >  > > Carolyn Wilkerson > > >  > > > To: sproutpeople > Sent: Thursday, May 31, 2012 10:21 PM > Subject: Where else to order > > >  > Hi all its again and I was wondering (I do that to much at times) Other then Sprout people what/who/where are there good places to order sprout seeds and who should I stay away from. Or do you know any awesomely good deals on a particular seed(s) some place even if its just one kind? > > Hope the weekend is a good one for everyone! > > > > > >
