Guest guest
If you eat fish, sardines and other types that lower on the food chain are a much better choice. You want the fish that feed on tiny things; plankton and small creatures like that. Fish that are higher on the food chain; the predator species like tuna and swordfish and shark are going to have higher concentrations of all the bad stuff. Because developing nerve tissue is more at risk that adult nerve tissue, children should never be fed tuna. The reason you don't hear that is because the government regulators consider the fish industry their clients and not the public. Lee > I buy raw-frozen Portuguese sardines. They are cheap and if cooked properly delicious. Lots of Omega 3 too. I hope the North Atlantic around Portugal are not contaminated yet. I try to buy whenever there are some available. They are sold frozen so i can also keep them in the freezer for a few weeks or months. > >
