Californians PLEASE - AB2109 - hitting Senate floor today

AB2109 hits the Senate floor today (second reading) meaning third reading

could be as early as TOMORROW. There could be floor arguments and

amendments TODAY. Pick up your phone and call your Senator NOW.

Send faxes if you possibly can. If you want to get one message across,

tell them AB2109 IS NOT ABOUT A SEPARATE FORM. IT REQUIRES A

SIGNATURE!!!!! Believe it or not, many legislators are

unaware of this basic fact, even at this point. This is intentional. It's

the same tactic used in WA State last year.

When you've done all you can with your own Senator, there are a few more

faxes and phone calls to make:

1) At the end of the Senate Health committee hearing on June 27th,

Senator Ed reserved the right to " call the bill back to

committee " if amendments were not made to satisfy Senator Rubio's

access concerns. None of those amendments have been made.

Senator needs to stand by his word and call AB2109

back to the Senate Health Committee for a REAL HEARING.

Tell him to stand by his word and CALL AB2109 BACK TO COMMITTEE for a

REAL DISCUSSION ABOUT THE ISSUES because none of Senator Rubio's concerns

have been addressed. There were no amendments during the appropriations

hearing. (sample fax attached, use it, change it, use your own if

you like, just get something faxed!)

Tell him adding school nurses as signors DOES NOT FIX THIS BILL (not that

they have been added but that is the ONLY amendment possibly coming)

Call his office and say the same thing.

OR FIX THE BILL
