Guest guest
No one in my family is interested in the microgreens, so I chose a size, that will let me harvest what I will eat. At least that is the idea. Start some on different days and my supply should be ready to eat without too much storage. Angelika
Guest guest
Hi, let me share how I got my husband to eat sprouts. I make a salad every day. He is NOT a salad person, he does not care about health, healthy eating, blah blah, he just cares if it tastes good. So I don't go into any healthy talking with him. I just make the most colorful creative salad I can create. I take some broccoli, radish and other brassicas. Then I add some fresh shredded carrots, some cherry tomatoes (think LOTS of color here) and on the top of that I add some newly cut sunflower sprouts and some pea shoots. This salad is so colorful it's off the charts. I then add some crunchy topping to this, maybe some bits of celery. He puts his favorite dressing on and then he goes " oh my god, this is SO good " . At least he now eats sprouts every single day. And he couldn't care less about growing them, hearing about them, etc. Try this with some family members. You never know. lol Melody > > No one in my family is interested in the microgreens, so I chose a size, that will let me harvest what I will eat. At least that is the idea. Guest guest
the 3 and 4 seed salad sprouts are so good. The radish has a bit of that hot taste but is mild, along with the sweet taste of clover, the broccoli sprout (I am not sure of the taste of that yet), the alfalfa which has a fresh green taste, and there is a 5 seed salad sprout mix too. I have ordered it but haven't tasted that yet. I havwen't tried the sunflower or pea sprouts yet. Got sunflower seeds ordered, but not the pea seeds, unless it is in one of the mixes I have. I have probably spend more on seeds lately than I did at the produce store the previous month. We have been doing better at eating veggies though. Did you screw up a lot when you were getting started? I have to get my sprouted too far beans in the ground before I can scrub my trays and get started on sprouting again.   Carolyn Wilkerson  To: sproutpeople Sent: Sunday, April 1, 2012 8:34 PM Subject: Re: small tray/ 1 day crop  Hi, let me share how I got my husband to eat sprouts.
