Thanks for all the info - I'm sure I'll be able to get them at a decent price.

I'm not in a huge hurry, so am willing to wait for sales, and other

opportunities to get them.

My county extension office sells rain barrels and compost bins once a year in

spring. Some of the towns around here also have their own programs. Try doing a

search like: " rain barrel " " xyz county, state " ...putting in your county and

state names.

If you have a food manufacturer locally maybe you can call their offices and ask

if you can have any barrels they may have/purchase. Sometimes they have to pay

to have them taken away, but if they get money for them you could match the

price and probably come out ahead. Just be ready to clean them out yourself and

add spouts, etc from the hardware store.
