You're welcome and no apologies needed. I'm glad will be happy with her new DVD player and if she is anything like Trisha she will have it all figured out in no time and probably a lot faster than Mom and Dad. lol Trisha will be turning 16 next month, man how the time flies! Her DVD player wore out but we haven't replaced it yet and she is doing fine without it. She can watch her movies on the laptop and of course that rewinds as well but she has even tapered off on watching her movies as much. She still has to have her signing time on her tv in her room especially when she goes to bed at night but we got her a little mp3 player for Christmas (cost all of 10.00) and at first she didn't want to use it but now that we have all her favorite songs on there she takes it with her on the bus to listen to on the long drive. Today I made an activity board for her to use when playing with her wizard of oz paper dolls and she has been playing with them all evening and the best part is I don't have to sing we're off to see the wizard any more because I put that in the board as well. She is happy as a little clam right now. :-) She seems to like those silly old homemade paper dolls better than most store bought dolls. Go figure! lol Wish Miss a Happy Birthday from Trisha and I. I hope she has tons of fun. :-) Carol Trishasmom She isn't typical, She's Trisha! **************Start the year off right. Guest guest
Hi Carol, I was wondering where you got the MP3 player for l0.00? We want to get Wyatt one but haven't yet. But want one that isn't expensive (I wonder why) but that he will be able to operate. Do you have any suggestions? or anyone else? Thanks alot, Carolyn Wyatt the Sherriff's mom in Tacoma, Wash. She loves it now and when the batteries get low she comes and taps on the back of the player to let us know she needs new batteries. :-) Carol Trishasmom She isn't typical, She's Trisha! **************Start the year off right. Guest guest
Thought I would share that we got Mikayla a Sansa Shaker Mp3 player for her bday. It has the speaker built in so that she doesnt have to wear headphones because of course she wont and so far seems unbreakable. Its fallen down stairs out the window of the car and such It says you can change songs by shaking it but actually is a little harder than it sounds but does have a " twist " rewind also. It was 40.00 and runs off one AAA battery that seems to really last. > > > In a message dated 1/4/2008 11:25:45 P.M. Guest guest
<<She loves it now and when the batteries get low she comes and taps on the back of the player to let us know she needs new batteries. :-)>> made up the word " tee tee tewwize " for batteries. For some reason music has always been " tee tee " (she still can't say her /m/s). She heads right for the kitchen drawer where she knows the batteries are kept. Amazing how well they can communicate when the motivation is strong enough! Sherry

Guest guest
Elie also check every day to make sure there are spare batteries in his lunch box pocket for the " emergency replacement " . Funny how our kids can remember some thing important to them!! > Agreed - Mikayla never leaves home without an extra set of batteries > and her screwdrivers > > > > > > <<She loves it now and when > > the batteries get low she comes and taps on the back of the player > to let us > > know she needs new batteries. :-)>> > > > > made up the word " tee tee tewwize " for batteries.
