Hope I`m not duplicating this but I`ll start again.(short form) I`m Stacey, married to . 2 daughters..Randi is 11 and Maggie is almost 9. Maggie has severe developmental delay, severely autistic and is deaf. She was late dx with autism for reasons I can explain later if anyone cares to know. We have just started receiving autisitc services in the last 10 months. we see some progress but very slow. When I read a few of the posts I felt relieved as finally I feel a real connection..you guys actually do know what it is like and may be able to offer good practical tips and hopefully, I can help you too! It feels like our entire existence revolves around programming and behavioural issues! You also understand that the love for our disabled child knows no boundaries and that even though at times we want to give up ( and have lil freak-outs)..something drives us to continue and to have hope! I`m not really that good on the computer..I should be by now, but I`m not. hehe..and I find that there are never enough hours in the day..but I desperately want to get involved with this group and be an active participant.
