A Definition of Irony

The food stamp program, part of the Department of Agriculture, is pleased to be

distributing the greatest amount of food stamps ever.

Meanwhile, the Park Service, also part of the Department of Agriculture, asks us

to " please do not feed the animals, " because the animals may grow dependent and

not learn to take care of themselves.

Problem is that the animals seek food on people's land and the carnivores kill

other animals for prey.  So it isn't a simple solution.  We don't want the

hungry people coming on our land to find food or to kill people's animals or

people in order to be fed.  There is a higher bank robbery rate in FL than they

have had in the past.   Now I can understand robbing banks since a few robbed

us.  However, still not a good idea.  Whatever happened to being our brother's

keeper?  We can't possibly support everyone and we do need to encourage or

train people to earn a living.  So did the problem begin when car companies

started taking their shops to other countries and then still thought we would

buy their cars?  I have bought American in the past, but I am beginning to

wonder since there is no American car companies anymore until they need money. 

I sure agree with the loans though as there are still some America workers.  My

dad and sister worked

for GM.  I have 2 Chevy mini  vans outside, one of which I bought from my

sister when we needed another means of transportation. 

 

Confidence is part of the cure for recession.  Things are coming back, property

values going up again, new business coming from So. America into FL (purchases

from Brazil, and other countries).  More Canadians coming down at least half a

year.    Hopefully it will continue to get better but it won't if the wealthy

continue to pay less percentage than workers after they have all the perks they

have and a lower rate of higher income.  Shouldn't lower income be taxes less

and then it increase as it goes up?  We all have basic needs.  Schools sure

isn't the place to cut.

 

I'm off my soapbox now.  This is a complicated situation and it has no easy

solution, but we do need more income.  The war has to e paid for.  That is our

bigget problem.
