Guest guest
By the way, I have to share with you that I have gone to a lecture by Steve Meyerowitz in February, here in NYC. I was telling him I had trouble with sunflower sprouts. He advised using organic seeds. I no longer have the trouble I had although, I still have short sprouts growing " insanely " mixed up. I believe baskets are not a good idea for sunnies. Soil is better. I am not trying to be adversary but, he believes that one can grow in hot, humid weather. People in Florida can have sprouts. In his book " Sprouts the Miracle Food " he advises to rinse often and not use jar. He also says " certain seeds " will not grow. And, I believe is true. Some seeds are gelatinous. If one uses too much water, they turn into slime. These seeds must be sprinkled often. I had, a few years back, tried to grow mustards in soil and they turn smelly also. I believe seed's health, medium (jar, soil) and manner of watering should be a consideration.
