received the following email from one of the children who are

inspired by his art. It is a wonderful present for New Years.

He is working on some portraits now, finishing up the 2007 jobs. The middle

of January he wil start on a new schedule of portrait commissions and

donations for fundraisers. Please email if you are interested.

here is the email from the young artist:

Hi !

We bought your book many years ago when Sam was just a toddler. You

wrote a note of encouragement, and your Mom also helped me to think

of ways for Sam to make art.

He wanted me to show you his art work (he is here, but he can't type

so well yet). We use your method of seeing shapes in animals and

things, and Sam makes the marks on his paper in imitation (but in his

own way) of me, his Mom. He draws mostly in permanent marker, and

then adds color using watercolor.

This year we invested in better quality paints and paper.

Sams wanted to say this to you:
