Guest guest Posted January 12, 2008 Report Share Posted January 12, 2008 I was just wondering if anyone thought about having state picnics for DS-Autism all around about the same time so those who may not be able to travel cross country might be able to at least meet up with those in their own state? Someone could video each state's picnic and then put it all together and make one large video with all the states combined and that way even if a person could not go out of state they could still see the faces and hear the voices of those who they have been chatting with so long. If possible, each year a different person from different parts of each state might host so that also not just one area of the state is host to the picnics. Just my thought but I was also thinking it would be a good fundraiser as well at the buddy walks to sell the videos. As it is right now only a select few are able to participate and if it was expanded while I know not everyone would still be able to participate it would open the doors to more having the opportunity.
