Guest guest
There are times when you need to kill mold...like what was growing in my window track. I used borax- about 2 inches in the bottom of a gallon container & then filled with H20 & allowed to settle. The windows sweat & I can't afford new. I piled the borax where the sill meets the window - it looked like snow. I left it there until the dry summer weather began. I rented a place with a kitchen sink that had a poor design. Mold was growing by the faucet. It was always a puddle & mold was growing under the silicone. I piled on the borax. It just keeps hardening if it gets wet & once in awhile I would get it all off & pile on more. It killed the mold eventually (months) & even what was under the silicone. I think borax is the one thing that can suffocate mold & not feed it. One woman I stayed with always wanted to bleach the shower where the wall met the floor & it got mold. After my shower, once the shower was dry, I sprayed on peroxide & while it was wet I put on Oxy Clean. After awhile I just used the peroxide once the shower dried & it stayed pretty good for awhile. You WILL get fizzling mold in the air if you start right off on a large spot with peroxide.
