Guest guest Posted January 4, 2008 Report Share Posted January 4, 2008 So...it sounds like we had plenty of company with everyone being sick just before Xmas. Fortunately we all recovered for the big day. had a heck of a time throwing off the " cold " as she's on these dang steroids and they lower the immune system terribly. We had another major meltdown knockdown fight on Xmas eve. We usually wait to put presents out after she goes to bed on Xmas Eve but there were a few presents for dh and I out there ahead of time. Jim saw santa on Live with Regis and kelly in the AM of Xmas eve and yelled at to come out of her room to see Santa (this is what we usually do on Xmas AM) so she came running out and went right to the tree...we had to send her back to her room telling her it wasn't Xmas yet. That night when I put her to bed I told her Santa was coming and tomorrow was Xmas etc. etc. and she flew off the handle like a bat out of the North pole. She went absolutely bonkers. We finally figured out she thought we had gypped her out of Xmas. She did some major damage though, to herself and to us. In any case Xmas turned out good and for a kid who would NEVER open a present till she was more than 7 (can't remember exactly) she's a pro now!
