Guest guest
I don't know why I'm so excited by this but here goes....it appears has an admirer and I'm so happy about it. As most of you know she is homeschooled but she does go to gymnastics where one of the boys who has " just " DS (although he is very lowverbal) has taken a shine to my girl for the past year or so. I'm helping her make a valentine for him for Thursday at gym class. My husband volunteer coaches the special olympics gymnastics so he is there every week to see what goes on. always makes a point of sitting next to , and he stares up into her face with a big smile on his. This week he couldn't be taken away to work on other equipment until he had made sure he held 's hand all along the length of the balance beam. When they put music on at the end of the class for dancing, dh calls him over to dance with and he smiles then comes bounding over in slow motion to grab her hands. They are both 19 and it's so sweet to me. Apparently he has been very disappointed on the days has not made it to class too. I think the fact that she tolerates him means she really likes him too. Anyway....in our family situation it's the first time someone not employed by us or not a family member has shown a genuine affection for her. Have any of you with older kids had any experiences like this? or have your kids developed a 'crush " on anyone? Sherry
