Guest guest
Hi, Everyone......there have been a few who have wrote about their kids having seizures. Well.....I guess I should have paid better attention. I had Gareth in to the ER last Friday for what I thought was a seizure. The blood work and EKG were all normal and his PCP figured it was a severe episode of his Orthostatic hypotension. Yesterday's EEG was 'abnormal' and showed that he was having 'seizure activity' and now we have an appt with a neurologist to discuss 'absence seizures.' I don't understand how a 19 y/o can start having seizures?!?!? I am confused, angry, upset......you name it. Did the month of antibiotics start something....was it the 21 days of Prednisone? Is this a continuation of the sclero/UCTD? His PCP said it is common in DS kids. I have never heard that. Gosh.........how many other quirky 'things' can this kid come up with? Just disgusted tonight and wanted to vent. Thanks guys. Take care, Everyone. Margaret **************Biggest Grammy Award surprises of all time on AOL Music. Guest guest
Margaret, So sorry to hear you are dealing now another thing. As Andy would say, not another doctor. Sending healing prayers and good wishes that all works out well.
