You did nothing wrong - autism is the culprit. You cannot be blamed for the

quirks and defensiveness of your child. I would suggest that you ask the OT

who helps with his sensory defensiveness if there are specific exercises

that can be done to help with head and face touching.

I can tell you that I can touch Elie's head, brush his hair (with a bristle

brush ony) and shave hiom, but he will not have anything to do with it. At

one point he would use a nylon scrungie, but it has been years since hea

greed to that.

All in all - I just work around the issues. Someday they will change and I

won't know why or how.

Sorry I cannot give more specific advice.
