Guest guest
Oh yes- we also saw for better ... as Elie was standing next to my chair going " I love you a bushel and a peck...... As to shower - Elie only showers when at camp or at his friend Mike's house. At home, he must take a bath. And I put bubbles in the bath as he will not soap up and I am not soaping a young man - assuming he would even let me. I shampoo his hair as well as he won't. And he must be rinsed with a pitcher even though we have a hand held shower!! I find the soapy water made from the cheap bubble bath at the Dollar Tree works fine. He usually sepends 15-20 minutes floating, tummy lying in the tub. He never smells or gets skin rashes, so I guess we are OK. And he hasn't even had the hydranitis suppraative (pimples on lower abd. and thighs) for at least a year. > Hi, Everyone.....Sara....I thought of you this morning while *helping* > Gareth with his shower. " We provide Colton with a chew toy at all times and spend much time redirecting him to " not chew " . He seems to be chewing at night and at school and I'm sure times at home when we can not watch him every minute. I've thought of trying to make something that could fit on his hand and only cover those two digits. I'm not very good with a sewing machine so I am hoping someone from this group has a better suggestion. Thank you, Lori, mom to Colton
Guest guest
For the many years (all thru adolesence that Elie had this HD, the doc would proscribe various ungents, pill, cremes - nothing helped. Finally I treated like my mother had treated acne (and as a nurse I tell you that this is NOT the medically accepted treatment, but it worked). I used " drawing salve " alos known as black salve or icthymol. Then we applied a hot compress, then I opened the hideously enlarged pimple (if this treatment didn't open it) with a laarge bore sterilized needle and applied more heat. This was not for the small ones - only those large enough for Elie to complain about them. Fortunately, this seems to have abated. > Sara wrote: " And he hasn't even had the > hydranitis suppraative (pimples on lower abd. and thighs) for at least a > year. " > > What causes this?
