Guest guest
I don't use kelp for anything sprouts or microgreens. So far, just the coir and the mat. The mat is very new to me so they haven't shot up yet but when they do, boy oh boy, will I make a video. When I grew the leaf lettuce in the pot on the windowsill EW said to use kelp as a fertilizer. I didn't have any kelp in the house so I made my own (sounds stupid I know) but here's what I did. I had some dried seaweed in the house. I reconstituted some of it. I then took some of the liquid, mixed it with the coir and the darn thing GREW in the pot very nicely. I then harvested the green leaf lettuce. I'm like the Maguyver of sprouting. lol Melody > > > > I just watched a you tube video on tray sprouting. It emphasized the need of weighting down the sprouts before they grow. > > Can't grab the link with my phone. It was from SecretsofLongevity - how to grow sunflower sprouts, peasprouts # 191. > > > > > To: sproutpeople > > > From: eliz7212@ > > > Date: Sat, 7 Apr 2012 22:55:08 +0000 > > > Subject: I am growing Pea Shoots in the Sure To Grow Mat > > > > > > I'll let you all know how it turns out. > > > > > > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fm5T2x21dWs > > > > > > Not bad at all. > > > > > > > > > Melody > > > > > > > > > > > > ------------------------------------ > > > > > >
