....if Cole is smart enough to lower doors to reach other items, then

he is 'smart' enough to understand the word 'no.' Yes.....ADHD may play a

role in his behavior, but perhaps you could have a footstool in the kitchen and

teach him to use it. Does he understand the words " BIG CRASH!!! " Act out

for him that Cole will have a 'big crash' if the doors break and he falls to

the floor. Then, show him how to use the stepstool. Gareth was a master

Houdini and climber, too. He did not understand danger at that age, but he did

know from the tone of my voice when I said 'no' that he was in deep doo doo!!!
