Guest guest
Thats great that your acupuncturist is from China, Som. And that he feels confident in helping you. I went to my appointment yesterday as well, and talked with this lady I am seeing - I asked her if she thinks that all Naturopaths will be able to help with what we are dealing with - and she said she didnt think so. She said to be very picky. She said chances are if they have only studied and practised in the US (the west) that there understanding of this parasite/mite problem will be very limited. I think someone asked if she is an Avermenic (sorry if thats not the correct word) and she did study hers in India. Sounds like she takes patience from all around the country, but she doesnt treat people from a distance they have to come to her. If anyone is close to Idaho let me know and I will write up her info. I really wish I could see Dr. from Healthwalk - thats so awesome Lucy, that you are able to see him. One more thing, has anyone else used products by ESP botanicals? I wanted to mention this company as I have been using there products for about a month. And though we dont have lesions, my youngest daughter has had an odd rash the has persisted during these 5 months, I am thinking that these products are what finally got rid of it. Trisha does claim to be able to cure morgellons lesions and other terrible skin manifestations - She seems really kind, and always adds free items, or larger items than what I ordered. I bet that she might even send samples if anyone wanted to see if her products would help them. I am interested in the machine (ozonator or something) that people are talking about, unfortunately like many of you I am all out of money....I think the heating cleared what ever this is from my environment anyway. I just wanted to mention one more thing that I am using called Eco Vie. (www.ecochem.com) its supposed to kill mold, fungi, bacteria, mites. Its very diluted and goes a long way - I bath my girls in it. And spray it around my house. Its non toxic. I am totally in agreement with Som and Sybil, we have had limited or no success with chemicals (although I do still think windex works, but luckily heating was even better) And I also am in agreement that changing our bodies chemistry will be our first line of offense against this. I remember the absolute WORST night of my life (when I was completely under siege) was the night after having my house fumigated, compared to how good we felt after heating. Mel why dont you dust off your heater and give it another whirl:) Hope I havent rambled here, I think this forum is very inspiring. Lucy is right, people on here are worried not just for themselves, but for each other. Through out this ordeal I have crossed paths with some of the finest people I will ever meet (Mel, Ray and others) z

Guest guest
Dr. Wymore is a full time professor at OK State Univ, and does all the Morgellons research on his own time, though the Univ does pay for an assistant for him. They fully support what he is doing, though all of the independent replication/lab analysis is paid for through donations. This is him from last year's Annual Morgellons Scientific/Medical Conference in Austin :http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=Dr+Wymore & hl=en & emb=0# He is speaking again this year (it's next Saturday). There will be three MD's (possibly a 4th), an EDD, and Dr. Wymore presenting. One of the doctors has Morgellons. Guest guest
I'm sure that you have never been to Dr. Wymore's site, as it is at the Univ of OK. It is not a " discussion " site: http://www.healthsciences.okstate.edu/morgellons/index.cfm There is too much for me to capture quickly, but there is plenty of evidence that Morgellons is a real disorder, possible vectored by mites, but not a bird mite problem. > > I was under the impression that many of the people on that listserv were suffering from Morgellons and that the bird mites were a part of this affliction. > > I've read that site a few times but I wasn't aware he was associated with a research university. > > Please highlight any info you think is important. > > Thanks, > JW >
Guest guest
I actually went to that site after you said he was from OK state. Very good to know.I have also studied the site http://morgellonspgpr.wordpress.com/2009/03/11/does-this-identification-mean-anything-i-do-not-know/and it makes me skeptical not of his work but of the scientific validity for studying it.You see he put the fibers in a cell culture. Fibers are composed of proteins and have no real genetic relevance except that you could ID the amino acid code and work backwards to the DNA code and search a database to see if this sequence is conserved ( similar to) species of known organisms. Then at the bottom the page says something about actin or tubulin or something.DNA sequence similarity is conserved prolly over 95% (95% similar) for these proteins in organisms from bacteeria to humans, so there is no real data.On second thought I have absoutely no idea what he's doing. He doesn't provide detailed enough procedures, but I think he's saying that the bacteria who lived after exposure to these fibers were the 2 listed. It makes no sense. And a scientist usually wouldn't say "I think."The fact that he's withdrawing the research makes me think that he found something that nullifies the justification for continuing research, or he realized that there's just really nothing you can do with a fiber, which is true.A fiber means nothing. You need the DNA from the suspected culprit, or the suspected culprit itself. And how would you find that?Short of milions of dollars worth of blood and tissue sampling I don't think you would. It's sad stuff, and if someone cannot come up with something based on their own experience then there's nothing to be purusued. If you have an idea don't be afraid to ask. Your not a scientist so please don't take anything personal.Think how could I get a sample (which realistically will not be pure) of the organism that is afflicting me, and not just the symptoms. From: Bessie Glavas <bessieglavas@...>Subject: Re: Morgellonsbird mites Date: Saturday, March 28, 2009, 8:50 PM I'm sure that you have never been to Dr. Wymore's site, as it is at the Univ of OK. Guest guest
I'm sorry , but I have no idea what you are talking about. The person at that wordpress blog is NOT Dr. Wymore. That guy is a non-scientist who is grabbing at bits & pieces and making no sense. Dr. Wymore hasn't got time to blog. If you would go to the link that I provided for you then you would know how Dr. Wymore arrived at his conclusions. I'm sorry, but I won't spoon-feed his research. I also hope for your sake that all you have are mites and not Morgellons. Have YOU captured and had them ID'd? Why would you need to solicit samples from other people? Guest guest
Lee I know how difficult it is with so little known about morgellons, and so many on the internet describing the disease. In my opinion who really knows at this point what this is. Myself I think I was infected by the infestation. Infested with mites springtails from a birds nest. Infected with what, lyme definitely, and co-infections, possibly one being this new disease named morgellon. Or perhaps the lyme weakened my immune and caused this disease that has taken the name morgellon. If it were me I would focus on treating lyme, which is difficult to diagnose and treat as well. I would look for vectors and host, including yourself, meaning this creature hosted me. Really all you can do is read and make your own informed choices. Wish I had the answers for you. Thank goodness for the internet, or I would not be healed. That is where I found my answers not the medical community. > > I was talking to someone today about what has been going on with us and she mentioned that people with Morgellons often have the hive like rash that we have been getting. Guest guest
We definitely had/have some bird mites in our home that began this for us. The mote bites caused us to because the target host for all kinds of mites. We now get crawled on by all different types of mites when they are present in the environment and we are sensitized to them so that our skin feels irritated when mites are on us of any kind. We get bit when there are biting mites in the environment or when they take up residence on our skin or in our eyes, nose, intestines, etc... it is creepy and crawly and prickly when the mites bug us and we do get bites too. I don't know what Morgellons is... but it may be related to what has happened to us. Some of the 'bites' we get may actually be our skin expelling a microscopic crystal of something... maybe not. It is impossible for us to know. If Morgellons always involves fibers then we do not yet have it. I fear it may begin any time though based on what we have read from other people. For months I've had a darkened patch of itchy skin on my thigh that is about 3 " X 2 " and it gets itchy bites on it sometimes. I have no idea what it is... Any ideas from anyone??????? z3 > > > > > > > > I was talking to someone today about what has been going on with us and she mentioned that people with Morgellons often have the hive like rash that we have been getting. Guest guest
the patches of " rash " that I get also is discolored slightly. It eventually will get tiny red pin pricks everywhere. If I itch it (it itches all of the time and burns)it will develop hives and eventually the hives will stay. I have to say that borax baths followed by coconut oil really soothes this. I do not have fibers yet either. > > > > > > > > > > I was talking to someone today about what has been going on with us and she mentioned that people with Morgellons often have the hive like rash that we have been getting. Guest guest
Has the Borax baths helped the discolored skin to return to normal??? The patch I have is very very much like you describe, yet the skin discoloration is kind of dark and faintly blackish . In fact it almost looks very faintly bruised... and has been that way for over a year off and on. What color is your discolored skin patch??? Thanks, z3 > > > > > > > > > > > > I was talking to someone today about what has been going on with us and she mentioned that people with Morgellons often have the hive like rash that we have been getting. Guest guest
Mine doesn't sound as dark as yours, but I'm white wall white - mine is very light gray/blueish in tint. It has almost disappeared. I can still feel the bite marks (bumps), but can hardly see anything. I have been soaking in borax and now borax/sea salt for a couple of weeks now and I always put coconut oil in for the last couple of minutes. I hope I'm not hurting my skin! I just needed the itching/burning to stop. The crawling has gotten pretty bad again over the last few days... I have been really stressed out and I'm sure that isn't helping anything. I wish I could figure out how to make it stop. =) > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I was talking to someone today about what has been going on with us and she mentioned that people with Morgellons often have the hive like rash that we have been getting. Guest guest
Is it possible you still have biting mites from rodents or birds in your environment? Did you ever? Guest guest
I had the greyness blue rash to, my doctor diagnosed mine as lyme. My friends said rigamordis was setting in:) I am white and not real darked skinned? http://www.natcaplyme.org/index.php?name=News & file=article & sid=64 On dark skin, the rash may appear as a dark bruise, as some of the pictures from the Lyme Disease Foundation demonstrate (please see http://www.lyme.org/gallery/em_patmas3.html and http://www.lyme.org/gallery/emmasters.html for examples. EM rashes appearing on brown-skinned or sun-tanned patients may be more difficult to identify because of decreased contrast between light-skinned tones and the red rash. A dark, bruise-like appearance is more common on dark-skinned patients. http://www.aldf.com/lyme.shtml > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I was talking to someone today about what has been going on with us and she mentioned that people with Morgellons often have the hive like rash that we have been getting. Is this true? How do you know if you have Morgellons or a birdmite problem? Should you treat them both in the same way? Guest guest
Yikes, it could be a lyme rash or other similar infection, I hadn't thought of that. Perhaps I should take Doxycycline as Rose did 3 times per day for 3 months... The rash comes and goes, but always in the same spot. I'll go ahead and see a Lyme specialist. , do you think I should see the MD you saw to be tested? Thanks, z3 > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I was talking to someone today about what has been going on with us and she mentioned that people with Morgellons often have the hive like rash that we have been getting. Get the shower going and gently use some organic Baking Soda. Rubed gently head to toe and rinse. Spray Vinagar with a dribble of Dr. Bronners Pepperment Shampoo into you hair and leave it in at night. Personally I like stoped the baking soda and switched to the vinagar and like the result better. 24 oz. hot water with 1/4 C. Vinagar. A dribble of Eco orange sprayed head to toe and at night rinse off the body but not the hair before using my Sulfar soap. > >Also get about 4 oz of hot water, 4 oz of white distilled Vinagar, with a dribble of Eco orange, and a dribble of With Hazel, and a dribble of Dr. Bronners pepperment shampoo. Lightly spray all the layers of your bedding starting with the mattress cover. Don't forget the pillows. See if that deters them. You can do this without stripping the bed. If you need to know how e-mail me. > >The coconut oil would make me sting worse and had to stop using it. Once in a while I would put it on for 20 min before a shower to try and restore moisture, but also eating a TB in the morning helps do that also. I like s recipe for keeping bugs off. Have not tried it yet, but you may want to. I still am trying to figure out how to budget it in. > >Hope you get some releif and start getting well. >In Light Lynn > > >> > > > > > > > >> > > > > > > > I was talking to someone today about what has been going on with us and she mentioned that people with Morgellons often have the hive like rash that we have been getting.
