Guest guest
Hi Zoe,If you can afford her, I think it would be a good idea to see her. $250/hr, but maybe your insurance would reimburse you. We have Kaiser so it covered nothing in the way of expense. The rash to me was an indication that the mites finally had brought Lyme to both of us, darn it. That does have to get treated as a part of this complex condition, but if your immune system is strong (mine was not), you can fight off some of the Lyme. The mites wore me down too. I had been stronger for a few years, but finally all the cleaning and symptoms from mites just plain wore my system down. Hubbie has always had a stronger constitution than I have. Dr. Metzger isn't that far from where you live, or maybe about the same distance from me, a little over an hour drive. She is exceptional as far as doctors go and has an MD and Ph.D. in endocrinology too. Brilliant and compassionate. She and her husband both have Lyme disease. She is active with CALDA, California Lyme Disease Association.Hugs-- Re: Morgellons Yikes, it could be a lyme rash or other similar infection, I hadn't thought of that. Perhaps I should take Doxycycline as Rose did 3 times per day for 3 months...The rash comes and goes, but always in the same spot. I'll go ahead and see a Lyme specialist. , do you think I should see the MD you saw to be tested? Thanks, z3> > > > > > > > >> > > > > > > > > I was talking to someone today about what has been going on with us and she mentioned that people with Morgellons often have the hive like rash that we have been getting. Guest guest
Hi Zoe,One more thought, Dr. Metzger might want to test you for Bartonella or one of the co-infections too... Staninger's office can't do that, I don't think. I did have several co-infections that needed treating and if gone untreated can be a disaster. Guest guest
If you can't get in for awhile to a doctor perhaps your private physician could give you a clinical diagnosis and get you started on antibiotics. Lyme must be addressed early, treatment is essential. The longer it go's the stronger it becomes. The spirochete continues to multiply. Then when treating the spirochete will hide in muscle and tissue breaking from the blood barrier, also hiding in the brain. There are also studies of lyme being passed sexually. If involved with a partner I would use protection for now. Lyme is a big bad cousin to syphilis. Whatever treatment you choose do it without haste! > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I was talking to someone today about what has been going on with us and she mentioned that people with Morgellons often have the hive like rash that we have been getting. Guest guest
March 23, 2010Many asked me about far infrared sauna...http://www.morgellons-research.org/morgellons/morgellons-news.htmI brought up 5 years ago, that it would be good to sweat out toxins and removing some biofilm using a sauna.I did not mentioned pricey Infrared Cabins, which are even sold from moneymakers for 4,200 US dollar. That is a fraud!! Also the statement that it can cure or help you more to fight Morgellons disease.Almost all who used infrared treatments wrote me that they had first some small successbut nothing more later!! Why? Because the fungus or else, just goes deeper into skin but neverin direction of the heat!! Sounds logical, not?So, you will have just a temporary effect because they move from the skin surface into more subcutanous areas. That`s all folks, but no cure of a systemic disease. Morgellons is not a skin disease, I am tired to repeat this fact!!!You can buy also a cheaper portable home-sauna with a vaporizator (140 U.S. Dollar)Or google for other companies in U.S.,http://www.1stvitality.co.uk/therapy/saunas/index.htmlhttp://qnhealth.com/id96.htmlhttp://www.sauna-talk.com/portable-steam-saunas.htmlhttp://www.ycyhealth.com/products/SteamSauna/IG290P.aspOr you can get even a cheaper far infrared cabin etc.http://www.wccomfort.com/sauna-price-list/http://www.promolife.com/saunas/far-infrared-saunas/personal-far-infrared-portable-saunas/cat_112.html#catprodshttp://www.nationalpoolwholesalers.com/saunas.asphttp://www.wccomfort.com/new-carbon-infrared-sauna/To clean up clothes and environment you can try also an UVC light to kill mites, bugs and germs etc.http://www.purelight.ca/http://www.samsclub.com/shopping/navigate.do?dest=5 & item=337881http://store.softwareandbeyond.net/purelight1.htmlhttp://www.hepalta.com/ionizer/PureLightXD-2D04.htmlOr use enzymes or cider oil in a spray bottle to clean the environment etc.http://naturesbestenzyme.com/http://www.cidercidestore.comShoe problems? Guest guest
There is so much bad information out there about Lyme disease. It really upsets me. I had recently gotten an email from my younger brother--he sent me something that he had read basically saying that Lyme disease cannot be "chronic." It was so demeaning and I took it personally because he knows how badly I've suffered with this. It just is so friggin' frustrating. Yes, this is communicable from one person to the other sexually and umbilically (if that is a word). If a woman is being treated during pregnancy it may be that the baby will not contract the disease. I think this was told about in the movie, Under My Skin. The woman in the movie was very scared about passing the disease to her newborn. With treatment it appeared the baby escaped the diagnosis. I don't know if LD can be transmitted through mother's milk tho. I would not breast feed for that reason.
