Guest guest
Jayne, I am so sorry that your husband is going off for his 4th tour of Iraq. I just found this out by reading past blogs. I have been off having medical issues of my own and have not really been with this group. You are a very strong person to be able to handle these stresses alone. You may think what other choices do you have but there are many people who might find a way out.We handle the things we are given because we have to but that does not make it any easier.I am assuming he got to spend Christmas/New years with you guys? I hope you get the wrap around services you need.Is this for respite? I just put on Naltrexone for abusive behaviors.I cannot stand it when he hits himself.I bought a helmet so his head would heal from the open wounds due to cellulitis 2 summers ago and his hitting the wounds. Now he hits himself in the eyes and I am afraid he will going blind.I cannot take another disability. Now I have to get a face mask to go on his helmet.Whoever said the joys of mother hood did not have a child like this. Don't get me wrong I love this kid but I would like a break once in a while. You know something positive come from something good I did like the helmet. I know we all have our problems but let them be few.
