Everytime I watch this video I realize that I knew NOTHING about Vitamixing,

making ice cream etc. But once you realize how much pressure to put on that

tamper, WELL I NOW KNOW WHAT I'M DOING.

But the darn thing froze in 5 seconds. I remember saying 'How the h can anyone

make ice cream if it freezes in 5 seconds?

Well, now I know how to make ice cream.

AND GOOD ICE CREAM TOO!!!

P.S And you are so right. If I had seen a flash I don't think I would have

tried it again. lol

I wanted to find an old video on youtube so I could see the flash on reversal of

the Vitamix. I found this guy using a Vitamix 3600 (that's old right?)

He was making soup, he used the reversal function but I didn't see a flash.

So how old is old? And look at how SKINNY the older vitamixes were?

I tried to find a video that showed the flash, but all of them on there show

them starting the reverse function from a STOPPED position-you get the

characteristic flash when you flip to reverse from forward while the machine is

already in motion-very cool, and one of the features I miss on the new ones-I

LIKED shocking people with a big flash coming out the bottom, lol. I will post

a video to show how the big girls do it!

I saw the flash in the interior sort of looking under the thing in another video

they had of almost the same make as the one you sent. It was a guy speaking

on.  Or maybe he wasn't speaking.  I can't remember now but I sent a citation

to thatweb site on You tube.

I will lug out my old 4000 and take a video of the flash for you-it is fun. I

use my old one mostly for gardening/non food needs these days, but OH, that

flash is fun, and I do miss that reverse function! The 4000 and 3600 both have a

huge sticker on the base WARNING you of the flash, saying it is " normal " and to

not be afraid, lol. I will try to make you a little video shortly.
