Guest guest
Rose, I have been on this journey since April of last year. My son sees a DAN doc in Lynchberg VA name Dr. Mumper. Although my son is still non -verbal I have been told that it may take up to 2 years for language to start. takes lots of supplements, has done 40 hyperbaric treatments, Methyl B-12 shots, and glutathione in addition to gluten free casein free diet. All of this has made a difference in how my sons feels, how well he participates in learning, following simple request that he could never do,etc. I thank God for biomedical intervention because conventional medicine was letting my son down. Is there a way to access old info? Does anyone have any success to report on this? 's teachers have unofficially suggested that I read a McCarthy book. Another professional has told me that the reported successes were probably misdiagnosed to begin with. Still looking into this -- would appreciate feedback. I would actually highly recommend other books to understand some of the underlying causes or know what areas to look for instead of jumping into this approach. Sometimes when jumping aboard blindsided could do more harm than good. > > Books, sites I recommend or even watch YouTube are under s website. > > Nourishing Hope, Nutrition Intervention for Autism Spectrum Disorders, Why Diet Can Help and a Holistic Approach to Implementation, Guide for Parents & Practitioners. > > http://www.nourishinghope.com/ > > http://www.autismone.org/ > http://www.autismone.org/content/autismone-radio > > Another good book is Children with Starving Brains, A Medical Treatment Guide for Autism Spectrum Disorder, by Jaquelyn McCandless, MD. Guest guest
I will echo what Cyndi shared. We actually see Dr. Kartzinel who co-authored " Healing and Preventing Autism " with McCarthy (book released a few months ago). I would recommend that book for an understanding on biomedical intervention. We have been on this journey for just a few months but we have already seen a difference in Kara. She has stopped grinding her teeth, her pupils are no longer dilated, she is more focused, she is like she's " here " now instead of " in another world " (most of the time), her skin coloring is even better - oh, and her (sorry - tmi) poopy is solid now. Many of these things have been mentioned to me by friends who don't have any idea what we've even been doing. For us, this was a decision we made after much prayer. K. Guest guest
We are in Australia and have just started the biomedical path too. Had blood tests, urine hair, and have Jemma on supplements as a start, with the gfcf diet. Great results so far.. Belinda

One of our local Bakery store owner is from Australia and the stories she shares behind of how she grew up like in a farm like setting describing at several cooking classes the difference of USA food items as she too has similar symptoms as my son when told as well leaning towards being dx'd with Leukemia. As an RN, she then focused on the alternative, along with the diet, sharing about the whole enchilada (pardon the pun here)with the great food they sell at The Little Aussie Bakery here in the USA in San ,TX which speak about has been a huge BLESSING my way along with several other friends within this journey, even a fantastic Chef out in Austin another sister city. Just incredible how Blessed I have been with everyone who I have crossed lately and fall right along on this same boat. Knock on wood or not to jinx but has been attending school lately more than 3 days since he has begun school which is a huge accomplishments and coming along, leaves pretty content which is two thumbs up approve in his book. Currently have been cooking food galore which have been more natural nutrients towards my son and family thanks to the owner of the Bakery. Bread I will not make, I just purchase it from the bakery. Check it out. Everything is Gluten-Free and me well just learning the ropes. http://www.thelittleaussiebakery.com/ May Jemma continue doing well. This is incredible.
