Guest guest
<<The physician stated that they were excited about another study that showed they were able to predict 80 - 85% if the baby would be born with DS. >> Hi, Everyone........I know two people (one being my niece) who were told their unborn child had DS. Both gave birth to normal, healthy baby girls. Thank God they didn't listen to the docs. Sherry.......I had Gareth back in to the Neurologist today. His MRI didn't show any tumors, growths, or abnormalities that would cause seizures. He did say that because of his EEG, he feels that Gareth has always had seizures, but no one picked up on them till the 'big one' in January. Anyways, he wants to try him again on Depakote....only a lower dosage and go slower in bringing the level up. So, tomorrow, we will try it again. Take care, Everyone. Guest guest
Oh Good Grief...... I didn't even catch that 3AM???!!! Why on earth give it so late? what time is the procedure? 's is at 6:30 AM. Sheesh as I wrote before we only have to start at 3 PM and go till it's finished. I never heard of that 3 AM dose. That's gonna be very tricky indeed. Oh margaret why do you always seem to find the cwazy doctors? lol. And, ...I too thought they could have a breakfast on the day before. I'll have to look up 's old records. Sherry Hi Margaret,I'm so surprised that Gareth can only have liquids on Sunday and the Miralax at 3am- did the doctor explain why? In my 3 colon preps over this past year, I was able to eat breakfast each time the day before. I agree with you, why not start earlier?Best,
Guest guest
NO XITRUS for prep for colonoscopy. You could use a pineapple flavored drink but not juice. > > > hmmmm,... > I'm just now reading 's prep instructions (I vowed not to think about > this till after Xmas). Clear liquids for the entire day before the > procedure. Wow...they can't even have a breakfast??. Then begin at 3:00PM. > 14 oz miralax into 2 quarts gatorade (we'll use pineapple juice), take 1 > glass every 15-20 min till finished. He crossed out the dulcolax at 3. > Nothing to eat or drink after midnite before the day of the test. Personally > I can't see why starting earlier would be a problem as regards the test if > it works better for Gareth. I was thinking they could have breakfast that AM > before...but it looks like that's not the case. > Clear liquids...I'm gonna have to check if she could have pureed > pears....she sure won't eat jello or clear broth. > Sherry > > > Hi, Everyone..... & Sherry.....He can only have liquids all day > Sunday, he's got to take 4 oz of Miralax in 32 oz of Gatorade first @ noon, > then > 4 Dulcolax tablets at 3 pm, followed by 4 oz of Miralax in 32 oz of > Gatorade (again) at 3 am.
