Guest guest
You might even want to think about what cutting with scissors is doing? How much scissor use will she need as an adult? BTW_ Elie can use a rotary cutter for straight lines the once a year he wants to cut something. But if building up hand muscle is what is needed for opening jars, turning door knobs, holding things in her hands - there are specific exercises to help with that skill - scissor cutting isn't one of them. > a is 10 and still can't write, unless it's hand over hand, > which she isn't crazy about. Guest guest
nathan uses a pizza cutter for his pancakes etc. he will nowadays get the scissors out to open up his pizza pockets, and he cut himself once trying to open a dvd with scissors, He has since been instructed to get help. weve worked on cutting for years now and he still cant use scissors appropriately. He has the right idea just not the cooridination or fine motor skills or something, he always tries them upsidedown for some reason. nowadays he does have motivation to cut with them but needs supervision. shawna In a message dated 2/17/2008 11:55:51 A.M.
