Guest guest
Hey Gang, I've been a VERY neglectful Co-moderator (sorry Joan....but then Joan gets to hear all my woes on a daily basis, OFF list...lucky her). Anyway, things are going as well as can be expected on the homefront. I'm feeling equipped, happy and peaceful lately, in spite of not everything being perfect....Um, that would be heaven, right???? ;-) Maddie is doing well, and was cute as a button last night at G-mom's. I was nervous because the last couple times she's been around *those more frail than her* (um, that would be pretty much everyone in the world), she's been too rough. I had a family dinner last Sunday, and there were little toddlers and babies crying all over from rough *Aunt Maddie*. Something we have to work on! Oh, BTW, I can't remember if I shared or not, but we did finally get her teeth done at St. Chris. Remember I was denied coverage (because we dont' have dental) even though they considered it a medical procedure because of anesthesia. Anyway, they approved and we did it before xmas. They filled a couple teeth, took some xrays, and put sealant on all her teeth. We were there probably a total of 5 to 6 hours. We just got an itemization of the cost.....TWENTY TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS!!!!!! They're saying we have to pay a $300 deductible, and I got a phone call from her MA insurance saying they won't pay it. UH, SORRY guys, but they must have forgotten that they already called me BEFORE the procedure with an authorization pre/cert number. WHAT? Are they trying to make me feel guilty for fighting over the $300 now, after doling out $22,000? Sheesh. I am going to see Jon Bon Jovi tonight. There's 8 of us *ladies* going...my two girls, my sister, my DIL, a niece and a couple SIL's thrown in. FUN FUN FUN!!!!! But the opening act is Daughtry. You AI fans remember him? The year he was on was probably the ONLY time I ever watched the show. I'll let you know how he was. I have been reading off and on. Hope you guys are all doing well, and welcome to all newbies!!!! Guest guest
Hey Donna, So good to hear from you. Don't worry we won't fire you as Co-Moderator, who would make the Madeleine's when we finally get together again?! LOL! I'm glad to hear things are on the upswing on the home front, how's that adorable grandson? Pictures??? Can SO relate to the fragile little and old people in harm's way when they share space with Maddie - becomes quite the un-provoked bully! He seems to seek out a victim when around other children and that person is at risk for being attacked for our entire time together. The last time we were around kids was at one of Emma's b-ball tourney's, he sought out another sibling and was beaming him with a ball. I was quick to pick up on J's bully of the day and warned the boy. I told him he had to have his radar on because he was at risk for being beamed by the ball and also being grabbed around the neck and wrestled to the ground. The kid did beautifully and no one was in tears, except of course for no reason other than he never upset his victim! LOL!
