Guest guest
I must share with you my experience with growing sunnies inside an apartment that is not air conditioned. I use humidity domes. Now before I did this I didn't know a humidity dome from a stupidity dome. EW straightened me out on this. I learned LOTS. And I applied it. I grow the most GORGEOUS sunnies (nice and tall) using 10 x 20 trays with humidity domes. I use large domes and smaller domes. The key is to spray the inside of the domes and then just set them on top and watch them grow. I use the Sure to Grow Mat and I also use coir. Doesn't matter. The inside of the humidity dome stays moist and it's as if they are growing in their own little hot house. It's absolutely amazing. this evening I took the tray into my bedroom and as I was watching tv I just pulled off the remaining little black caps off of the sunnies. They came off easily. The sunnies were TALL. Two perfect leaves on top. Fabulous. I love humidity domes, that's all I have to say. Now when the weather really gets warm, I might have to water them a bit more but I'll be honest. Right now it's about once every 3 to 4 days. Not bad for the sure to grow mat. I LOVE it!! It retains the water beautifully. Melody
Guest guest
Okay, will do. I'll let you know. Never thought of doing this. lol, Melody > > > Now if you think I know what the second set of leaves mean, well I don't. lol > > > >
Guest guest
Botony lesson. The first leaves are called the seed leaves or Cotyledon - cot-y-le-don. The next leaves are called the true leaves. I have found that if you let your sunnies get to the true leaf stage, the taste changes. Not nearly as sweet. ew > > > > Now if you think I know what the second set of leaves mean, well I don't. lol > > > >
