Guest guest
We had yet another basketball game today, an hour+ away on the coast of Maine (it's so beautiful there - even in winter!) The team went to Pizza Hut after the game. I was about in a panic thinking, how am I going to keep from eating the food! I had to wrestle him at church this morning when he got a handful of cheetos during fellowship - managed to get them out of his hand before he had any and quickly gave him his GF pretzels! Anyway - Pizza Hut. Luckily I had packed a lunch box full of GF snacks and some GF chicken nuggets I had made, just in case. He did really well even when the pizza came to the table. He pointed to the empty little pizza plate meant for him but I just told him to eat his chicken nuggets and he moved on. Shortly before we left, I realized he had gottten ahold of my crust and had nibbled two tiny bites of it! Not the end of the world but.... He did so well, I'm so proud of him. I told the kids we couldn't order breadsticks, it just wasn't fair - he loves them so much. The big kids understood but then Emma sat with her team and managed to ingest some of her friends breadsticks! was jealous! On the way home, I felt sort of sad for - it's one thing when you can explain and the child understands but for - we ate at Pizza Hut last month and he thoroughly enjoyed his breadstick then I'm sure he was wondering what the heck Mom tonight! I felt bad and kind of sad on the way home but he seems just fine. I made him a milkshake for a reward when we got home. Guilt!
