I was wondering if anyone knew if melatonin is a muscle relaxant, and if it would be harmful. I recently discovered the over the counter sleep aid called " MidNite " , which contains mostly melatonin. It is supposed to be non- habit forming and help you wake up fully alert. I've only tried it a few times, but I end up being tired the whole next day. I don't know if that's because I don't take it until 12am or so, and end up with only about 4-6 hours of sleep.
