Guest guest
I was talking to one of Kayla's teachers and she said that once Kayla is in Kindy the school's not responsible for Activities of Daily Living skills unless I enroll her in a Life Skills program. So if I keep her in the public school system all the OT goals will be " educationally " based (writing, drawing, using scissors). Kayla barely has any ADL skills at all. She can feed herself and that's about it. So they won't work on things like getting dressed or even toileting (!). Anyone hear anything like that? Seems like maybe they are trying (as usual) to come up with excuses to not keep her in the local school.
