Guest guest
Margaret, Glad things worked out for you schooling Gareth. There is no problem with keeping Seth home until he's 7. He just wouldn't get any services until I registered him with the school at that age. I want to keep him in preschool another year, and they say that is not age appropriate. He's at a 22 month old level...I think it IS appropriate! LOL Because he is *object level* he has to go to the severe room. His scores may be low=severe, but He is not. The kids in the severe room can't tolerate songs, games, speaking. Seth loves all that and needs it. Seth's social needs would set off a chain reaction with the kids in that room that would last all day. Not fair to any of them. They said he could go to the preschool room for that stuff....guess the preschool room is appropriate? Any suggestions Margaret? I love that! I'm sure I won't win this battle, but I'm going down fighting! LOL Glad you have such a wise and willing district. Hope it all works out for (I love that name!) Guest guest
for we use to worry about age appropriate when he was younger but also feel as long as he is happy and enjoys the toys then we are happy too. A problem we are having is his attatchment to his toys jeeesh, they gotta be all over the floor especially in his room which he shares with his little brother, and one enters at ones own risk, lol. I have tried to thin them down some, put some down stairs , stored in rubermaid containers, but he hollers for them, its like he has each and everyone memorized and the exact spot its suppose to be on the floor, lol. I am really horrible when i vacume, lol, like to not hear the end of it from him all night long. He even found some of them downstairs and brought them back up. If we had money i would rent storage place and see if that helps. What do you guys do? Does anyone else have such an attachment to their toys and belonging together? shawna To: @...: reginasarno@...: Fri, 2 May 2008 19:37:42 +0000Subject: Re: Age appropriate >> I gave up on the age appropriate years ago, is now 41 and is in the 5-6 > yr. mental range per testing.
