It's fun and challenging, yet doable. You sweat like anything, but feel accomplished at the end. is fun, funny and playful. AL2 is my second favorite...it's more challenging and fun, but I have to take a brief break btwn the aerobic portion and the floorwork (I hate floorwork!) I hear AL6 is outstanding too, but I haven't gotten mine yet. >> Thanks Alot!!!

It is cuz the Advanced tapes are twice as long and almost twice as fast. I have to do alot of decision making while doing an Advanced of how fast and how many reps I want to do with each move whereas I just press Play with a Basic and do it without having to make any decisions, focusing on my form, full range of motion, and intensity instead of how I should modify it to pace myself . When doing a Basic, I know I am going to finish and the time flies. When doing an Advanced, I am a clock watcher and have several moments when I wonder if I'll finish & then know it is time to slow it all down a notch or two. Barb who figures it maybe my age and fitness level though I hear plenty of young chicks struggling with Basic work-outs too

I always do basic for lack of time, but decided I want to get one advanced live so I can do it on days I have a little extra time. Now, I want to make sure I get a fun one that I will enjoy & want to do. So please help by sending me your votes on your favorites! Thanks for the help! , who does not just want to just buy any tape that she may not like!! >> , I have a theory that the even numbered tapes are the best AL2,AL4 and AL6. You really can't go wrong with those. Great music energy etc. Al2 is my favorite and it does tend to appeal to a wide range oe people. AL-to me this is STILL the hardest tape. At least the beggining is anyways. But it's still a very good workout. Al3 is okay...but it usually takes me a bit to get into it and it's the one that I'm most often checking the time with. AL5 I like, but it's all floor work and I need LOTS of aerobics to feel like I accomplished something (even though I know thats not true). It has really good music and energy though. I try to use it every week or two when I feel like wither my floor work or my weight work has been lagging or I'm to tired to do aerobis. Guest guest
, My vote ends in a tie - AL4 or AL6. Can't go wrong with either tape or maybe? BOTH. Have fun deciding! They both ROCK! Hedy

The Advanced tapes are at a much faster pace than the Basic tapes, so if you're not careful, sometimes you can lose focus on your form, trying to keep up with the pace. Also, I really have to pay attention to my heartrate when doing the Advanced because the pace is so much faster. I alternate Advanced and Basic days. On the days I do Basic tapes, I do two of them, so that I still get the hour workout, but I also get the slower pace. There are still days when I have to pause the Advanced tapes and walk it out. But with the Basic tapes, I can really concentrate on my form and I can usually always work out at full intensity. Just make sure that when you do the Advanced tapes, you still pay attention to your form (even if that means slowing down and not keeping the same pace as ). Also, don't be afraid to pause the tape and walk it out. The Advanced tapes are great and lots of fun, you just have to be careful you don't overdo it, at first! Guest guest
kellycat7-Love your new name! You cannot go wrong with either AL#4 or AL#6. AL#4 isn't as hard as AL#6. I find that AL#4 is the only tape that I don't have slow my kicks down, because does no double time kicking in this tape. You'll be sweating like crazy by the end of the tape. AL#4 focus is on legs, which is done standing up. Lots of fun music, fun moves and the motivation factor is high. ,p> AL#6 is another super tape, but the intensity is definitely harder. only does one set of double round house kicks. focuses on ABS in this tape. Again, done standing up. You'll also the love the music and moves in this tape. The motivation level is high and drills you at the end. He teaches you the right way to punch and kick as if you had to protect yourself. To be honest, if you can afford two advance tapes, buy AL#4 and AL#6. They will really compliment each other. Then wait for AL#8. LOLOL

Keep us posted on how it goes! I'm sure you'll do fine with the Advanced. Just take it at your own pace and take your time. Start off slow and just keep slowly adding on and before you know it, you'll be able to do the whole tape!

We tried the SA several months ago and our bodies just weren't ready for it, we put it on the shelf..and then two weeks ago we got back at it. So it took us 10 months to work up to it..but were not kids anymore. I think our schedule now might be the advanced (SA and SL4) three times a week and a basic the fourth day. We have noticed more toning even in the past two weeks of the advanced..so it's working for us. Let us know how it works for you.
Guest guest
So please help > by sending me your votes on your favorites! Thanks for the help! Hi , The first time I did AL2, I thought I was going to die. Now I love it. My favorite (betwen (SA, AL1, AL2, AL3 and AL4) is definitely AL4! good music, good moves, good flow, good combinations, not too hard, not too easy. I've heard some wonderful reviews on AL6, but I haven't seen it yet. LV, who hopes buys a tape she loves SSS
