Guest guest
Absolutely Caroline, You are so right. There is much research for treatment going on all over the world. Plus partnerships with organizations, biotech corporations, FDA and of course the STAR initiative. We all know about the first human trials of NT-3, and the ongoing human trials of Ascorbic Acid. Of special interest is a new synthetic progesterone antagonist being developed in Germany. (the name escapes me right now) Regenerative and translational medication developments are just hitting their stride and well be following these closely. This coming weekend I am going to an SGL mtg. where I will be hearing more about the developments from STAR and learn what's beyond. You hear all about that when I return. Guest guest
Caroline, Thanks for sharing with us the info. Did he mention anywhere in the conversation with you about the time frame that we should expect? Given the fact that the complete map of human genes just found couple years ago, and the research for CMT is still trying to find the genes that cause the disease as well as the treatment; I think we maybe need at least 10-15 years from now. Hopefully I can still be active until that day. Best, Minh Vo
Guest guest
Hello Vo Minh, No, he didn't mention the time frame. Try our best to keep us in good health condition. Then, when the opportunity comes, we are ready to take it. Never give up hope. Hope is a waking dream. Caroline > >
